Abstract

The end of 2019 witnessed a severe global healthcare crisis due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the primary cause of COVID-19. This systematic review aims to summarize the current understanding of the disease, its transmission, clinical manifestations, detection methods, treatment plans, and immunization efforts. The reviewed research includes publications up to October 2023.
